Intro to Rowing

Experience rowing on the Duwamish River with our recreational rowing club!

 

We’re hosting three separate Intro to Rowing sessions for adults in 2026:

• Session A:  Saturday, April 18, 2026 | 8:00 - 10:30 AM

• Session B:  Saturday, May 16, 2026 | 8:00 - 10:30 AM

• Session C:  Sunday, June 14, 2026 | 5:00 - 7:30 PM 

 

Reserve your spot by paying the $40 fee via Square: Intro to Row session - Duwamish Rowing Club

 

After payment, email us at rowdrc@gmail.com with your preferred session and the name on your payment card.

 

Before the Session:

1. Please review the DRC New Rower / Member Information packet. In a checklist on page 4, you will find links to:

3. Complete the online DRC Emergency Contact Form

4. Watch the USRowing Safety Video

 

Please Note: DRC's Intro to Rowing is a one-time introduction to help you decide if rowing is right for you. For further adult instruction, we recommend joining a larger club offering a 4-week "Learn to Row" program. Both Renton Rowing Center and Lake Union Crew  provide excellent instruction. After completing such a program, you're welcome to join our club rowers on the river.
